About Kayfabe Diary
Hi! I’m Marko Simonen. I’ve been involved in the Finnish pro wrestling scene since April 2010. It’s been a fun ride and still going 🙂 I’m currently working in SLAM! Wrestling Entertainment. I think the only jobs in wrestling I have yet to try is ring announcing and managing. Mostly, people know me as the photographer. That’s partly why I wanted to set up this website, to slowly start going through my archives and try to remember everything I’ve done. I’ve chosen Kayfabe Diary to be the title of this project.
Certainly, my earliest pro wrestling photos are from around 2010. But then, I’m not just a photographer. People close to the inner workings know me, but I’ve always preferred keeping my face out of the picture. Working behind the scenes is my personal comfort zone, so let’s see how this little personal branding thingy goes.
On this website you’ll be seeing a diverse archive of visual work in pro wrestling, along with some random stories. I promise not to embarrass anyone 🙂
